La creatividad es belleza, no hace falta hacer dinero con ella

“La creatividad es belleza, no hace falta hacer dinero con ella”. La frase es del cineasta David Lynch, pero Miguel Ibarretxe, alma mater de LIVELÜLA, la asume como propia. Lo que de entrada ya nos indica que huye de cualquier tipo de premeditación comercial, en todo momento hace lo que honradamente considera musicalmente hermoso y nos lo muestra. “Mi mayor éxito es quedar satisfecho con lo que uno hace y yo ya lo he conseguido. Eso si, pediría que se escuchase el disco del principio al fin, como un concepto como una idea, si alguien lo hace así, yo estaré muy contento”.

Livelüla: ambient, chill-out y electrónica

MIGUEL IBARRETXE es un músico vasco afincado en Llodio/Laudio que en los últimos meses ha dado forma a su proyecto musical al que ha dado el nombre de LIVELÜLA y a su primer disco “Blue Sun”.
BLUE SUN son trece piezas que van desde el ambient o chill-out a momentos en los que la electrónica se adueña de todo hasta el punto de poder invadir las pistas de baile más exclusivas y sibaritas.
De “Blue sun” existe además un “single” “Back” de distribución exclusivamente digital con 3 versiones de la canción y un tema extra de inspiración Ambient.
Otra de las piezas más interesantes es “Haika Mutil”(Mikel Laboa) que está cantada en euskera.

Miguel Ibarretxe, un fan de Moby con mucha suerte

El azar quiso que Miguel Ibarretxe ganara un concurso de un periódico gratuito cuyo premio era conocer en persona a Moby. Unos minutos de conversación, unos discos firmados y la oportunidad de entregarle una demo que incluía una versión de “Love will tears us apart”, el clásico de Joy Division.
Pocas semanas después Moby anunciaba que haría un concierto con versiones de Joy Division. ¿Casualidad o inspiración?... El caso es que fue la “señal” con la que Miguel entendió que estaba en la línea correcta...

En el verano de 2011 surge “Back”, la pieza sobre la que girará todo el proyecto “una buena idea que no se podía dejar pasar para hacer un buen tema, además es una letra que cualquiera puede hacerla propia independientemente de la raíz de la cual ha surgido y se convirtió en la piedra angular de un proyecto que no sabíamos a donde podría llegar”.
Ese mismo verano, un viaje a Mallorca hace que Miguel se impregne del ambiente relajado y romántico que se respira en algunas calas y a partir de aquí van saliendo temas más “ambient”, más “chill-out”, el disco va tomando forma, y surgen “Blue Sun”, “Loneliness and old age”, “Isolation” o “Réquiem”.

Ya en enero de este año y Miguel vuelve a ganar un concurso. Está claro que es un hombre con suerte. Esta vez el premio consiste en asistir al Festival Punta Cana Desalia 2012 donde era cabeza de cartel el DJ y productor Erick Morillo. Miguel volvió más electrónico y surgieron temas como “I try” o “Tokyo-Berlin”.
El proceso de grabación fue relajado y sin ninguna prisa, grabado íntegramente en casa y rodeados de buenos amigos como Itziar Hormaetxe quien además de poner su voz en algunos temas del disco es coautora del eje central del mismo, del tema “Back”; Julio Montero que además de aportar buenos consejos, colaboró poniendo el bajo en algunos temas. Finalmente de la masterización se encargó Alberto Rionda, guitarrista y productor de Avalanch, en su propio estudio, en Asturias.
Para la parte gráfica también contó con amigos, ¿qué mejor? “Las gráficas las ha hecho otra amiga mía: María Martínez con quien estuve visualizando la idea del disco y concluimos que la idea en general podría ser el aislamiento, la frialdad desde un punto de vista creativo personal. Ambos tenemos un punto de vista bastante arquitectónico del disco”.

"Creativity is beauty, it’s not necessary to make money with it." The phrase by the filmmaker David Lynch, but Michael Ibarretxe LIVELÜLA’s alma mater, assumes as its own. MIGUEL IBARRETXE is a basque musician that live in Llodio / Laudio that in recent months has shaped his musical project that has given the name LIVELÜLA his first album "Blue Sun". BLUE SUN are thirteen pieces ranging from ambient or chill-out moments in which the electronics takes over everything to the point where it can invade the dance floor most exclusive and gourmets. Miguel Ibarretxe, a very lucky Moby fan

The luck would have that Miguel Ibarretxe won a free newspaper contest whose prize was to meet in person to Moby. A few minutes talking, signed discs and the opportunity to give him a demo which included a cover of "Love will tears us apart," the classic of Joy Division.
A few weeks after Moby announcing he would do a concert with Joy Division covers. Coincidence or inspiration? ... Anyway, that was the "signal" to understand that Miguel was in the right way ...

In the summer of 2011 comes "Back", the piece on which the whole project will turn a "good idea that you could not miss to make a good topic, and is a letter that anyone can make itself independent of the root of the which has emerged and became the cornerstone of a project that we did not know where I could get".
That same summer, a trip to Mallorca Miguel makes absorbs the relaxed and romantic atmosphere that is breathed in some creeks and from there it exits issues "ambient", more "chill-out", the album is taking shape, and arise "Blue Sun", "Loneliness and old age", "Isolation" or "Requiem".

In January 2012 Michael returns to winning a new contest. Clearly he is a lucky man. This time the award is to assist to Punta Cana Desalia Festival 2012 where he was headlining the DJ and producer Erick Morillo. Miguel became more electronic and themes emerged as "I try" or "Tokyo-Berlin".
The recording process was relaxed and not rushing, recorded entirely at own home and surrounded by good friends like Itziar Hormaetxe who also put his voice on some tracks on the album is co-author of the central axis thereof, the song "Back", Julio Montero in addition to offering good advice, helped put the bass on some tracks. Finally mastering handled Alberto Rionda, guitarist and Avalon producer, in his own studio in Asturias.
